A few years ago my cousin was telling me that toothbrushes harbor a lot of bacteria. It made sense and suddenly I was grossed out about somethis I use inside my mouth everyday. She suggested putting it in the dishwasher ***EuReKa*** Problem solved! The reason I like this idea so much is because I use my dishwasher every night to clean dishes. There is no extra work involved.
I did some more research online and there are a lot of ways that people clean their toothbrushes even if they don't have dishwasher.
- Soak it in white vinegar for a while
- Dunk it in anti-bacterial mouthwash before use
- Boil your toothbrush
-TIP- If you set your toothbrush in a cup after you use it wash the cup too. Don't wash an electric toothbrush with any of the methods suggested.

I like the idea of soaking the toothbrush in anti-bacterial mouthwash!
Makes so much sense to clean something we use so often.
